Medica Names Tom Lindquist to Position of Senior Vice President and General Manager, Government Programs
Medica today announced that Tom Lindquist has joined Medica as senior
vice president and general manager of its redesigned Government Programs
segment, which now combines the organization's Medicare and Medicaid
lines of business.
Lindquist has more than three decades of health insurance experience,
including more than 10 years at UnitedHealth Group. He was president and
chief operating officer of Ovations, UnitedHealth Group's $30 billion
business focused on seniors, including Medicare Advantage. He also
created a new company at UnitedHealth Group, United Retiree Solutions, a
multi-billion dollar business dedicated to the employer group retiree
Most recently, Lindquist was part of the leadership team for an
innovation group aimed at bringing cutting edge products to senior
markets. During his time at UnitedHealth Group, he also served as a
health insurance industry liaison to the Congressional Budget Office and
the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
